There has been a clock shop in Little Chalfont for 20 years, a landmark on the high street displaying in its large shop front windows some fantastic, interesting, and occasionally eccentric time-pieces. 

Chalfont Clocks specialises in the repair and restoration of antique clocks and time-pieces. Our showroom and open plan workshops are both located in Little Chalfont, where all repairs are carried out by our team of qualified horologists. 

Visitors are welcome from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, our on-site team of expert horologists - with years of experience in restoring and maintaining clocks - are always on hand to discuss your needs. Chalfont Clocks offers a full repair and restoration service for all antique and modern clocks, barometers and watches. We also have trusted specialists for cabinet-work and dial restoration, gilding and plating.

As well as the restoration of clocks in our onsite workshop, we also stock a selection of antique clocks fully serviced and ready to buy. All of our retail stock has been fully serviced and comes with a 2 year guarantee. We offer a free, fully insured delivery service to customers in the UK.

Our History

Chalfont Clocks was established to take up the reins of the clock shop in Little Chalfont, after Ian Cherkas decided to step back from the repairs business and relocate to Somerset to concentrate on sales with Carlton Clocks.

Having set up his repair business in 1982, Ian felt it was time to concentrate on the sales side of the business at a slightly more relaxed, slower pace.

Ashley Streather takes over the clock shop in March, and is excited to be able to continue the high quality services and safeguard the legacy of excellence created by Ian, during Carlton Clocks tenure.

The name above the door may have changed, but the horologists remain the same, providing on site restoration services, with a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from their years working at Little Chalfont.

Estimates and advice are free, and can often be given while you wait. Chalfont Clocks can offer a complete restoration service to include all aspects of mechanical repairs, with the addition of case and dial restorations, all of which are also completed to very high standards. The team are always happy to show visitors examples of their work.
