Experienced Clock Maker Required

Chalfont Clocks is an established and successful repair business, operating out of our present location in Buckinghamshire, for over 20 years. We are fortunate to work on a wide variety of interesting clocks for both clients as well as stock pieces, and can offer a varied and exciting career opportunity to the right candidate.

We are proud to have a friendly open plan workshop/showroom/shopfront all on one level with the benches and workshop very much making up part of the overall appearance of the shop creating an integrated feel. The workshop is well equipped, bright and airy, with natural light situated on our open plan shop floor.


We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled clockmaker, with a great attention to detail, an enthusiasm for horology, and the ability to work within a team.


The workshop is based in Little Chalfont, a 3 minute walk from a Metropolitan line station (Chalfont and Latimer) with easy access to central and Northwest London with direct trains to Marylebone in 30 minutes. Our location has proved to be beneficial to both employees and customers.  

Our ideal candidate,

 

-   Has at least 5 years experience

-   Has a clean driving license

-   Should take pride in delivering the highest quality of work with meticulous attention to detail

-   Would preferably have experience with early electric clocks and marine chronometers, although not essential.

-   You should be comfortable dealing with customers occasionally, as well as undertaking some delivery and set up jobs as a representative of Chalfont Clocks

-   Own tools are welcome but not essential, as we are happy to provide anything that is necessary to carry out any job.

Junior Clock Maker Required

We are looking for a junior clockmaker or recent Horological Graduate, with a great attention to detail, an enthusiasm for horology, and the ability to work within a team.
