This neoclassical cartel clock in an ormolu case with foliate laurel swags, is topped by an urn with a pinecone finial. The good quality square french movement with platform escapement, strikes the hours, and is stamped with an exhibition medal on the back plate dating it to 1855.

The sound vents have been backed in pink silk.

The dial is of white enamel with blue royal numerals and and gilded foliate hands.
