A beautifully gilded desk clock with perpetual calendar, moonphase and an adjustable world time ring in the shape of an armillary sphere or astrolabe made by Jean Roulet, Le Locle in Switzerland. This model was the top of the range and known as the ‘President’ clock presumably because of the presence of one in the Oval Office on the corner of the Resolute Desk under Ronald Reagan.
The early quartz movement is housed behind the brushed silver dial which displays the date, month and day of the week with the time on an outer roman chapter, the whole clock rotates on a central axis and comes with it’s original presentation case and paperwork.
