A delightful timepiece carriage clock in a gilded corniche case with a porcelain dial. The eight day movement is regulated by a jewelled cylinder escapement.
The most striking aspect of this clock is of course the dial painted with a scene of a roosting hen and cockerel under a beautifully applied gilt rose bush, against a pale yellow ground that is exquisitely rendered.
