Jean Roulet Desk Clock
A beautifully gilded desk clock with perpetual calendar and moon-phase, made by Jean Roulet, Le Locle in Switzerland.
The early quartz movement is housed behind the brushed silver dial which displays the date, month and day of the week with the time on an outer roman chapter, and the phases of the moon at the bottom above VI. The gilded case has a strut back the bezel and strut both polished to mirror finish to contrast with brushed finish of the back and the dial.
Jean Roulet made clocks for retaillers such as Tiffany, Cartier, and Aspreys aswell as examples like this under their own label, this clock dates from the 19080’s and is of exceptional quality.
