A quarter chiming Miniature longcase clock by Sinclair Harding. This extremely high quality three train 8 day longcase movement chimes on a nest of cast bells. The movement can chime either Whittington or Westminster chimes, striking the hours on a separate bell, with strike/silent function. Made by one of the last great english clock makers working in a traditional manner.

The case is made of Honduran mahogany with box stringing. Doric columns flanking the the dial door, with highly polished dial and cherub spandrels. A silver chapter ring with subsidiary seconds and strike silent dials, with finely cut blued steel hands.

This clock was made to order in 1991 and originally cost £8405 (the equivalent of £18,454 in todays money according to The Bank of England), and makes a for a wonderfully proportioned and reliable longcase clock that would fit into any home.
